WOLFGANG & FRANZISKA BELTRACCHI
"ZUSAMMEN, ABER NICHT IM DOPPELPACK."
3 November - 23 December, 2023 | Galerie Dutoit
Suhrenmattstrasse 2, 5035 Unterentfelden
At the Unterentfelden exhibition in Aargau, a unique convergence unfolds as paintings by both Wolfgang Beltracchi and his daughter, Franziska Beltracchi, grace the space for the first time. Franziska Beltracchi's artworks delve into Greek mythology themes, providing a striking contrast to Wolfgang Beltracchi's latest pieces that center around Old Testament motifs. Among his compelling works are large-format paintings depicting the biblical flood and Noah's Ark, complete with an array of animals. Both artists share a common thread in their intricate and technically complex representations.

"What is probably Wolfgang Beltracchi's most expensive work is currently hanging in the Dutoit Gallery in Unterentfelden. It is worth 580 thousand francs and attracts numerous visitors: 'It takes hours to really look at the picture. I wonder how long he had to paint it,' explains one enthusiastic fan."
